After the death of her father, Ruby Ando tries to reconnect with her estranged and isolated mother, whose hoarder house is a nightmare labyrinth of secrets and dangers. All the love Ruby was never shown she sees her mother lavish on her treasures and trinkets, the possessions that possess her. But when Ruby desperately tries to free her mother, the house wages war, ensnaring both women within its maze. Brought to hideous and twisted life by a mother's love, the "Horde" is determined to purge Ruby from the collection—or see her join it forever.

With around 40 hordes inside of Days Gone and each one of these viral mosh pits numbering between 50 to 500 ankle-biters each, they’re dangerous enough on their own. But seeing them actually roam about? Now that’s an interesting wrinkle.

There’s an art to whittling down Freaker numbers in Days Gone, as the actual environment in which you face off against an army of flesh-eaters is more of a puzzle box than a sandbox.

What Days Gone does have going for it, are its Freakers. Disgusting remnants of humanity with a taste for flesh, Freakers are rabid dogs who need to be put down whenever they get a whiff of your scent. On their own, they're trouble. But in a group? They're a near-unstoppable homicidal herd.

If you're a fan of shooting with friends rather than at them, Uncharted 4 Survival is bringing back the wave survival mode the game has been missing for months.

On the plus side, every Freaker in Days Gone does share a common goal of wanting to eat your face. Wait, that's not good.

Gears of War 4 is changing up multiplayer a little bit, but keeping some of the series' core ideas intact for good measure.

Thanks to some new footage from Conan O'Brien, it seems DOOM will be getting its own Horde Mode when it launches in May.
