Here’s something unbelievable: Apparently global pandemics are fantastic for the video game industry, as just about every publisher under the sun has posted record profits and numbers for the latest financial year ending on March 31. Ubisoft is no different, as the French publisher saw some outstandingly high numbers, with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla being an absolute jet engine of momentum.
Ubisoft has announced that you can groove the fat away, provided that you own Just Dance 2020. Ubisoft says that owners can grab a free month of Just Dance Unlimited on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and Google Stadia, shaking your butt to the tune of of more than 500 Just Dance songs from past games.
Ubisoft’s annual tradition of celebrating rhythmic movement to the tune of a catchy beat has been a regular in the video game release schedule for years now, dating back all the way back to its first appearance on the Nintendo Wii. A decade later, and Ubisoft is closing the door on that platform with Just Dance 2020.
June 10 is when Ubisoft will hold their event at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, same procedure as every year James. And like every year before it, it’s probably going to be…weird.
The more things change they more they stay the same however, as E3’s block of press conferences will still remain a popular attraction as a pre-show extravaganza. Ubisoft is sticking to its tried and tested guns once again in 2018, as they’ve date their annual E3 press conference for June 11.
If anyone thinks being a game reviewer is an easy life, I dare you to play Just Dance 2018 for an hour straight and tell me it's a walk in the park.
Even if Just Dance 2017 isn't the greatest game, it's still a whole lot of fun. If you have previous iterations, I'm not sure the new modes or songs are a reason to upgrade, but if you don't have a home dance game, this is well worth picking up for kids or partying adults.
