Rebecca is Netflix's upcoming psychological thriller based on Daphne Du Maurier's classic 1938 gothic novel. After a whirlwind romance in Monte Carlo with handsome widower Maxim de Winter (Armie Hammer), a newly married young woman (Lily James) arrives at Manderley, her new husband’s imposing family estate on a windswept English coast. Naive and inexperienced, she begins to settle into the trappings of her new life, but finds herself battling the shadow of Maxim’s first wife, the elegant and urbane Rebecca, whose haunting legacy is kept alive by Manderley’s sinister housekeeper Mrs. Danvers (Kristin Scott Thomas).

If I’ve been beating the Only God Forgives drum a fair bit around here lately, it’s not because a) I want to see Ryan Gosling’s pretty face or b) I’m jealous of Ryan Gosling’s pretty face and want to see it walloped like a red-haired stepchild. The fact is that Drive, Gosling’s previous collaboration with writer-director Nicolas Winding Refn, was just that …

Danish auteur Nicolas Winding-Refn (Drive) certainly has an eye for artistic visuals. And also explosive, shocking, drag you on the floor by your jawbone violence. And those aspects all seem to gelling well in his second collaboration with Ryan Gosling, Only God Forgives, for which we have three new clips, each focusing on one of the film’s 3 main characters: the simmering, …

There’s been some crazy talk around here lately about how people didn’t like Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive, but that’s just, well, crazy talk, right? RIGHT?! Irrespective of whether you loved that movie or mistakenly, clearly while under the influence of psychotropics, didn’t, you can’t deny that the director’s next collaboration with Ryan Gosling is looking superb. And here are two new …

Ryan Gosling is beaten black and white in these new images for ONLY GOD FORGIVES

Nicolas Winding-Refn’s Drive was easily one of the highlights of 2011. Moody and shockingly violent, it sported phenomenal performances from its cast, a haunting soundtrack and the coolest shiny jacket the world has seen since Michael Jackson raided the Navy surplus store. So it’s with much bated breath that I’m awaiting the Danish director’s next team-up with mumble-mouthed badass Ryan …
