There’s been some crazy talk around here lately about how people didn’t like Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive, but that’s just, well, crazy talk, right? RIGHT?!

Irrespective of whether you loved that movie or mistakenly, clearly while under the influence of psychotropics, didn’t, you can’t deny that the director’s next collaboration with Ryan Gosling is looking superb. And here are two new international trailers, as well as the film’s new neon poster,  to prove it.

Julian (Gosling) lives in exile in Bangkok where he runs a Thai boxing club as a front for the family’s drugs smuggling operation. When Julian’s brother Billy is killed their mother, Jenna (Kristen Scott Thomas), arrives in the city. She wants revenge and forces Julian to find the killer. Julian’s contacts in the criminal underworld lead him directly to The Angel of Vengeance, a retired police officer who knows everything and who is both Judge and Punisher. Jenna demands that Julian kill The Angel of Vengeance, an act that will cost him dearly.

Man, I love both those trailers. Especially the old-school synth soundtrack. Drive had an outstanding OST and this already appears to be following suit. Besides for groovy beats, the other standout is Kristin Scott Thomas who definitely looks like she’s going to be chewing scenery with the best of them.
