Mirrors Edge recreated in LBP

By Nick De Bruyne

It really is quite fantastic to see all of the creative levels that are coming out of LittleBigPlanet since the beta was released (penis levels aside). This latest level created and put up on YouTube shows a level created to mimic the look and layout of the Mirrors Edge gameplay video that was shown off a little while back. The user has genuinely created a really good recreation of the level, with cable slides and all. To think, these are only the levels being made by those who have had time with the beta. I am sure that once the full game is released, we are going to be seeing an absolute ton of really cool and original levels. LittleBigPlanet has to be commended for giving gamers such a great tool to create with and enjoy.

LittleBigPlanet is a winner

By Gavin Mannion

No surprise here but you can virtually hear the gaming world letting out a sigh of relief when the first reviews started coming in and they showed that the game does not in fact suck… The idea of a hugely hyped game falling well short of expectations is nothing new and there were some very soft, but existent, rumours of …

First Local LBP level!

By Nick De Bruyne

Believe it or not, South Africans can be creative too. A few lucky local residents have been able to get their hands on an LBP beta key and have been having a whole lot of fun without us. While the creator of this level needed some coaxing (almost bordering on blackmail and assault), he finally agreed to let me put one of his levels up on our site. You may be used to those Americans who will either make a level that can do you taxes, or a level that teaches children about how babies are made, but this is none of that nonsense. Just some good old fun that also includes a skateboard and a big ramp. If you are from South Africa and have made a groovy LBP map, send us the link and we will try and get it up as well!

The LittleBigPlanet Calculator – you have to be kidding

You have to be kidding, here I was thinking that people won’t put much effort into creating levels and that it may not be possible to create anything worth sharing and then something like this comes along. You have to watch this video to the end, at first it seems like the guy has just used some built in mathematical …

While it was a pity that we didn’t get to see any LittleBigPlanet at rAge this year I am still excited about this game and mainly for the co-op opportunities of it. I can see myself wasting a couple of lazy weekends in with the family in this game… Last Updated: October 6, 2008

I completely missed Part 1 of this documentary series but have managed to track it down and you can find it through this link… My obsessions with LittleBigPlanet is getting out of hand now and this game really needs to be released so I can move on. But how do I know it’s going to break my heart by shipping …

LittleBigPlanet Beta crashes more sites

By Gavin Mannion

With all the interest around LBP it is no wonder that servers are going down but it is nice to hear that this time it isn’t the PSN or Media Molecule servers that are crashing (ala MGS Online) but rather the sites which manage to get their hands on beta keys. First it was Eurogamer who, with all their resources, …

LittleBigPlanet – The New Battleground

Little Big Planet Beta ‘Xbox 360’ HD LittleBigPlanet is not the first game that allows us to create home made movies but it is possibly the most versatile. PSN user RedBullRacer has put together this pretty awesome video trashing the Xbox 360 inside LittleBigPlanet, now I guess it’s time for someone on the 360 side to try and retalliate… maybe …
