By Nick De Bruyne

So much can already be said about this movie, even though it has not yet been released. Why, oh why has no one thought of making the lead character, err, umm, I dunno… Ryu. Yes, sex does sell and Kristen Kreuk is quite a hotty but seriously, you know what sells more? That’s right, movies that don’t completely suck. This …

Warner Bros. Pictures recently acquired the rights to the Tomb Raider films because of Time Warners’ upped stake in Eidos and are now in the early phases of development for a new Tomb Raider movie. The scary thing is that while the last Tomb Raider movie, starring Angelina Jolie only came out a couple of years ago, producer Dan Lin, …

New Street Fighter movie possibly worse than the first? Photos Leaked.

Why, oh why can movie makers not just make a straightforward movie. Why is this next Street Fighter all about Chun-Li and the apparent legend that she is. Did anyone ever watch The Quest ? Even though it starred Jean-Claude Van Damme, it was a pretty straightforward movie about a fighting tournament with different fighters from all over the world …

Fallout Movie with Tarantino at the helm?

By Nick De Bruyne

The MTV Multiplayer blog posted up a comment from Bethesda's Pete Hines that shows that they are most definitely not against the idea of a movie adaptation, as long as the right person is on the job. In his comment he plays with the idea of having someone like Quentin Tarantino take on the project. They report on the following comment: “You know, if we f— this game up, nobody’s gonna want to touch us with a ten foot pole. [Our attitude is] we’re a game company, let’s make the best game we can make and all that other stuff can sort its self out once we’re doing our job. Our job is not to try and make a thing that would make a great movie, we have to make a great game. If somebody says ‘we wanna do this, this is the guy who’s gonna direct it,’ then yeah! [laughs] If Quentin Tarantino wants to do ‘Fallout 3,’ yes, we will hear that proposal! [laughs harder] If Ridley Scott wants to do ‘Fallout 3,’ we will have that lunch!” – “Fallout 3″ product manager Pete Hines on whether Bethesda Softworks would be open to the idea of a movie based on their new game. What do you guys think? Does a Fallout movie sound like a plan? Heck, if Tarantino does jump at this it would most definitely peak my interest.

By Nick De Bruyne

godofwarmovie.jpg It looks like Kratos will be making his way to the silver-screen after all. There were rumours of a God of War movie doing the rounds a while back but with no backing. Well, it is now official that the God of War movie is definitely going to be made and will be helmed by none other than Brett Ratner. With movies like X-Men 3 and Rush Hour 3, I don't know whether to be excited or just plain skeptical. You can check out the interview with Ratner by clicking the link at the bottom of the article. MovieBlog reports the following: "We caught up with him recently and confirmed either your greatest dream or biggest fear: Brett Ratner is indeed making a movie based on the video game series, God of War." Is this movie going to be any good? Who knows? What I do know is that I may just be tempted to revive my Casting Call feature one more time. What do you guys think?

Max Payne director John Moore has managed to pull a rabbit from his hat and get a PG-13 certification for the new Max Payne movie. Bearing in mind the game itself was rated R, and the movie claims to stay true to the experience, that’s rather impressive. Last Updated: September 26, 2008
