A new report has revealed that Hollywood is finally starting to make progress in embracing female directors more in its top movies.

Following Disney's experiment with releasing Mulan on Disney+ earlier in the year, the House of Mouse is reportedly considering moving their upcoming live-action remakes for Cruella, Pinnochio, and Peter Pan and Wendy to the streaming service as well.

Disney, owners of the likes of Marvel, Stars Wars Pixar, Indiana Jones, and the massive list of franchises it acquired through the Fox deal like Avatar, Alien, Ice Age, Die Hard, and more, is above and beyond the biggest movie studio on planet Earth. And now it may no longer be releasing its movies in cinemas.

Faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney made the bold choice earlier this year to move Mulan to a release on Disney+ for a premium price. And that experiment is seemingly paying off big time for the studio!
