TGS 2010 : Demons Souls Developers New Title – Project Dark

From Software are really, really busy. They’re not only co-developing a new Steel Battalion with Capcom, they’re also hard at work on something they’re calling Project Dark. Little is known about the game at the moment, other than that it’s a dark fantasy action RPG, and it’s supposed to appeal to fans of the studio’s sleeper hit, Demons Souls. A …

Ninja Blade – Reviewed – XBox 360

Nick recently commented on how Ninja Blade’s gameplay looked all to familiar… I now believe that his re-enactment of the brainstorming session behind Ninja Blade was quite correct. So off the bat, let me just say, that even though this looks like a God of War clone merged with a dash of Ninja Gaiden, that there are so much more …

Ninja Blade coming in Q1

By Nick De Bruyne

During our ongoing quest to hunt down good looking titles in 2009, we somehow forgot all about Ninja Blade. While I still think that it’s overall look feels way too similar to Ninja Gaiden, it may prove to be a worthwhile title in 2009 for Xbox 360 gamers, considering that the PS3 line-up is already looking pretty decent to say …

Ninja Blade Gameplay – All too familiar

By Nick De Bruyne

[ Dramatic Re-enaction of the staff meeting that birthed the ideas behind Ninja Blade ] Hey, what was the name of that game that sold really well again? God of what? Oh, God of War, cool thanks. Hey what was the name of that other game that's pretty popular on that other console? Ninja Gaiden? Oh that was cool as well. Hey... I bet that if we took those two games and mashed them together that we would get, like, a ton of sales. We can call it the God of Ninja Blaiden or is that too much? Ok, let's just call it Ninja Blade then, that's catchy right? Oh man, we are gonna be rolling in it with this one. --------------------- Seriously, I took one look at this video and wondered how Ninja Gaiden and God of War actually managed to pro-create, considering that they are video games and don't even come equipped with the correct tools to do the nasty. For all I know, this game may prove to be a lot of fun but I cannot deny that it looks like a real rip-off of some good sellers. I have checked the google-machine to see if Itagaki (the creator of Ninja Gaiden that just recently left TECMO) is involved with the production but have so far come up with nothing. Thoughts Anyone?

Ninja Blade Theme Coming to NXE: Put the credit card down!

By Nick De Bruyne

112165-nxe.jpg Very soon, the first set of Horse Armor, I mean... let me start again. As you all know, the NXE dashboard update has brought with it a whole lot of possibilities in terms of friends list backgrounds as well as avatar clothing options. Microsoft have now announced that they will be continually releasing theme packs that include avatar clothing over the next six months. Pretty soon, a Ninja Blade them is going to be released for Xbox Live that not only comes with a background image and friends list backdrops, but 5 pieces of themed clothing to wrap around your new Xbox Live Avatar. As much as I am enjoying the new dashboard, I am sorry to say that a new era has begun in terms of paid downloadable content. While I already thought it pretty ridiculous that so many people were spending tons of money on gamerpics and dashboard themes in the old dashboard, the new dashboard brings with it an entirely new way to draw gamers' money out of their wallets. The price has gone up as well. More after the jump. While the old dashboard themes had a price tag of 150 points, the new ones are coming in at 250 points and while they are significantly more interesting than before, I can see a whole lot of people throwing their money at Xbox Live just to get some interesting clothing and backdrops to look at. At the same time, I have to wonder... if one of you are on my friends list and you download and add new items to your avatar, doesn't that mean that I will have to download them automatically when I next see you in my friends list? I think so. So tell you what, do us all a favour. Save your money by not spending it on silly outfits because at the end of the day, you will be saving all of us a bunch of bandwidth as well.

Ninja Blade to require a HDD?

By Gavin Mannion

This won’t be the first Xbox 360 game that requires a HDD but it may possibly be the first exclusive title that does. Ninja Blade, a game I have had zero interest in, has cropped up on Xbox.com with the above information blocks. So according to that we are going to need a HDD and a storage device… anyway… If …
