You can't keep a man and the love of filming movies in his home town down as Mark Wahlberg's Spenser Confidential is getting a sequel for Netflix.

Spenser Confidential is a film that is heavily flawed with many silly moments throughout. Don't be surprised if you still end up enjoying its competent action though.

Spenser Confidential is Netflix's upcoming action-comedy movie. Spenser (Mark Wahlberg) — an ex-cop better known for making trouble than solving it — just got out of prison and is leaving Boston for good. But first he gets roped into helping his old boxing coach and mentor, Henry (Alan Arkin), with a promising amateur. That's Hawk (Winston Duke), a brash, no-nonsense MMA fighter convinced he'll be a tougher opponent than Spenser ever was. When two of Spenser’s former colleagues turn up murdered, he recruits Hawk and his foul-mouthed ex-girlfriend, Cissy (Iliza Shlesinger), to help him investigate and bring the culprits to justice.

While Mile 22 will frustrate you with its overexcited editing and wasted characters, it is jam-packed with enough action to leave you breathless

Mile 22, director Peter Berg's upcoming fourth collaboration with Mark Wahlberg, gives breakout Indonesian martial arts star Iko Uwais (The Raid, The Raid 2: Berandal) his first big Hollywood role. A role filled with Uwais' trademark visceral fight choreography, but also the challenge of the language barrier.
