While I’m probably going to leave my PS5 covered with something more attractive (like a 3D-printed Xbox shell just to REALLY piss people off), I’m still looking forward to seeing what it’s capable of over the next few years. Predator: Hunting Grounds has all the tools it needs to be a tense fight or flight action strategy experience, but they’re cloaked in an optic camouflage of game-breaking bugs, squandered opportunity and fleeting moments of fun. There’s a good game here, waiting to rip your spine out and parade it about the jungle in gruesome fashion, but I’m not planning to wait for Illfonic to get their development act together on a game that needed months more technical polish before it was truly ready for release.
