By Gavin Mannion

A lot has been said about the draconian DRM embedded in Spore at the moment but EA games are far from being the only company to try to thwart piracy. It seems that the movies you download from the PSN have a similar feature. The rentals are able to be kept for 24 hours which I think is perfectly fair …

Did you know the PlayStation 3 has only just been released in Malaysia? and we complain about us being treated badly… Oh and it looks like Nintendo thought that Sony needed some help with the launch and very kindly leant them the soundtrack from The Legend of Zelda. Now that’s just embarrassing and you can bet the events company is …

The Blu-Ray player in the PS3 has always been one of it’s most important features and the fact that it has been the cheapest Blu-Ray player on the market has allowed it to grab quite a few sales even from non-gamers. However that is now changing with the latest round of Amazon price cuts putting some stand alone players at …

LA Noire is possibly the biggest budget gaming title in production at the moment and over and above that it was meant to be a PS3 exclusive title. Okay after posting the Yahoo video yesterday I decided to go on a little scouting trip to see if I could find a differing opinion. Basically a good opinion on why the PS3 can beat the 360 this holiday season. I have found a few sites proclaiming that the PS3 will come first in this generation but unfortunately the stories …

So with the mass markets eyes slowly shifting towards Christmas the next big question obviously becomes “which console is going to take this season?” The Yahoo PlayBack slot has tackled this question this week and it is little suprise that once again the Nintendo Wii is the pre-season favourite. However what is suprising is how badly Yahoo thinks of the …

EndWar – Voice Command Brief

By Nick De Bruyne
September 19, 2008

Tom Clancy's EndWar is the first game that is offering the ability to control your armies with the use of voice command. While I have been let down in the past with voice command features, EndWar looks like it's actually going to pull it off. This video gives us a good idea of how the voice command system works and how the interface functions. The idea of controlling armies that have Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six squads in them is already enough to get me to sit up and pay attention but add a flawless voice command system and we may have the future of console RTS gaming staring us right in the face. "Alpha Unit, make me coffee!"
