Destiny 2: Warmind gets its first fix next week
The latest patch preceding the Warmind expansion gave Destiny 2’s gameplay fundamentals a shot in the arm, while also breaking a few other systems in Bungie’s space-based sandbox. OH BUNGIE!

Available to everyone, Destiny 2’s latest patch has resulted in scores of guns being rejiggered. Weapons such as MIDA Multi-Tool, Telesto, and Merciless seem to be fine the way they are, but by and large you’ll find that every other gun has that little somethin’ extra added to it.
Destiny 2 may be a shooter at heart with some RPG leanings, but within that game lies many a secret and treasure waiting to be discovered. You could do all that on your own, or if you need a leg up then fret not. We’re here to lend a hand with assorted musings from across time and space as you take the fight to Dominus Ghaul.
There are those guns which require you to experience Destiny 2 in its fullest. The Rat King is one such gun, a sidearm whose power grows exponentially when paired with other Guardians who also wield it. Getting your hands on the Rat King first requires a trip to Titan to complete some world quests, at which point you’ll get the quest at the end of “Enemy Of My Enemy”. It’s a quest wrapped in riddles, where the real treasure is friendship. And more guns.
Some guns define your Guardian. If you’re the Swiss Army Knife of your group, maybe the MIDA Multi-tool is your weapon of choice. Maybe you’re a master of thinning the herd, as you swap between Sturm and Drang to cause maximum damage without ever needing to reload. Because I’m a sneaky bugger who values running away more than sticking around for a fight, I’ve found a gun that describes my Guardian perfectly: The Rat King.
