The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame review – Mindless blocky fun

By Geoffrey Tim

It’s by no means a great game, but The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame does more than enough to avoid accusations of being an egregious cash-in. The simple co-op platforming coupled with the invigorated combat system deliver a game that’s a mindless bit of fun.

Project Cars 2 delivers an outstanding racing experience, unfortunately, once the honeymoon period wears off, the by the numbers career mode does little to captivate in the long run, and the numerous bugs and inconsistent presentation and AI hamper an otherwise fantastic game.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite review – Great fighting, gross visuals

By Geoffrey Tim
September 26, 2017

The inclusion of the Infinity Stones and the change to a more measured 2v2 format make up for the slightly slower pace. Marvel vs Capcom Infinite succeeds as a superlative fighting game, it’s just a pity that everything moulded around doesn’t quite reach those heights. The Story Mode is abysmal and the roster is uninspired. Despite that, it’s still a blast to play.

Yakuza Kiwami Review – A criminal sandbox that is equally bonkers and brutal

By Darryn Bonthuys
September 26, 2017
in :  Gaming

Yakuza Kiwami’s fresh coat of paint has done wonder for the aging sandbox brawler, even if some wrinkles have still managed to stubbornly hang on. It may not reach the same highs as the prequel Yakuza O, but Kiwami still has plenty of charm, story and more than enough action that sets the scene for the Dragon of Dojima to return on a grander stage next year.

Another year, another iteration of a sports game franchise. Has 2K Sports done enough with NBA 2K18 to not only retain the franchise's title as the best basketball game around, or will it finally give up the crown?
