Two Point Studios, the developer behind the successful spiritual successor to Theme Hospital, Two Point Hospital has been acquired by SEGA. The developer started working the publisher as part of SEGA Euorpe’s Searchlight programme in 2017, and is now wholly owned by SEGA Europe. It joins other studios like Creative Assembly, Sports Interactive, Relic Entertainment, Amplitude Studios and HARDlight in the SEGA Europe stable.

Two Point Hospital, the spiritual successor to Theme Hospital is out right now. If you grew up playing Pc games in the 90s, you no doubt dabbled with Bullfrog’s delightful comedic medical sim Theme Hospital. The game had you designing and building a private hospital with the aim of curing patients of mysterious maladies.

Theme Hospital is whimsical game that let players build their own hospital and deal with the ridiculous diseases and afflictions the general populace would come down with. And it’s coming back. Sort of. Yesterday, SEGA and Two Point announced Two Point Hospital, a spiritual successor to that game.

Running is hospital is a stressful proposition, but it gets a whole lot more goofy with this free management sim thanks to EA.
