Todd Philips is reportedly already working on a sequel for his Joker movie, one of the most harrowing films of recent memory.

With Joker shattering box office records all over the place, it seemed an inevitability when a story broke last night that writer/director Todd Phillips was not just working on a sequel, but also on giving other DC Comics characters the same gritty mature R-rated reboot treatment. Except that story is not completely true.

This year gave us the Joker film we never knew we wanted. Something which may never have happened if Jared Leto had his way.

Some movies take many different cuts and edits to get right, leaving a trove of deleted and extra scenes on the cutting room. Scenes which director Todd Philips claims you won't be scene from his Joker film.

The last casting piece of the puzzle has been solved with the face of Thomas Wayne now decided in the Joker origin movie.
