Visceral’s Star Wars game is deader than Emperor Palpatine’s love life after he became Darth Scrotum in Revenge of the Sith. Digging an even deeper hole for themselves in the eyes of fans, EA pulled the plug on the game and called it a day. It’s a pity, because this was the game that at least sounded like it would be a delightful antithesis to the lacklustre pair of multiplayer shooters that EA had released over the last couple of years.

Guess who’s about to say hi to Star Wars 1313 in video game purgatory? According to sources familiar with the development on an ambitious Star Wars sandbox, EA’s stab at the franchise and a galaxy far, far away is pretty much dead.
