Silent Hill

Some people are inextricably linked to signature game franchises. You can’t imagine Gears Of War without Cliffy B, or Peter Molyneux without a game that promises you the stars and instead proceeds to punch your nuts into a concave shape. When it comes to Hideo Kojima, that man will forever be known as the architect of Metal Gear Solid. But he has worked on other games in the past. And for the future, he’ll be tackling Silent Hill. Can I get a hell yeah?

Unveiled at Gamescom 2014, Kojima revealed that he’ll be spending some time in that quaint little burg of nightmare fuel, something that players would have discovered if they had played all the way through to the end of a demo that was available that went by the name of P.T. That demo happens to be on the PlayStation Store right now, and when you reach the end of it, you’re treated to a teaser where Norman “Walking Dead” Reedus appears, followed by the names of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro.

The game will apparently be known under the simple moniker of just Silent Hill. Check out the teaser yourself, either on Twitch via streamer Soapywarpig or the Youtube link below:

There’s no clue when exactly this game will be out, or what roles Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro have in it. But on the one hand, you’ve got a champion Hollywood director who knows how to squeeze scares out of people, and you’ve got a guy who knows how to f***k with people. To me, that’s the perfect partnership to have on such an iconic horror game franchise.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
