Matt Damon and friends join Terry Gilliam's ZERO THEOREM

Things are moving quicklyon the latest Terry Gilliam project, Zero Theorem, which stars Christoph Waltz as a man looking to uncover the truth to human existence through the power of MATHS!

Of course, Waltz isn’t the only person on board the Gilliam madness express, and to round out his cast, the former Python is looking to reunite with one of his former Grimm brothers, as Matt Damon will also be hunting for that elusive theorem.

Joining Waltz, Tilda Swinton, David Thewlis, Melanie Thierry and new arrivals Peter Stormare and Sanjeev Bakshar, Damon will play a character who seems to be defined by his snow white, spiky hair for some reason.

“I’m just doing a very small part in it. Someone finally gave him money to do this one, thank God. I’d do anything for Terry. It’s been ten years since I last worked with him”, Damon said to Vulture.

“I wrote Terry this whole e-mail, because we had this whole conversation about what the character would look like, because the story takes place in the future, but he had a specific look that he wanted, but then I had to shave my head and I said, ‘Terry, what should we do?’ And he said, ‘Actually, we can take advantage of the fact that your head is shaved. Why don’t we change your hairline?’ So he mocked up a picture and sent me a real receding hairline, with white spiked hair.”

Zero Theorem is currently looking to start shooting next month in Romania, and so far, it sounds like a recipe for some classic madness from the director, in line with films such as Brazil and 12 Monkeys. Plus, the last time Matt Damon had a small role in a film, it was singing about distracting Fiona from church in Eurotrip.

I’m hoping that he pulls another quick and memorable cameo for this project then.

Am I the only that initially thought that was John Noble aka Walter Bishop standing next to Damon in that pic?
