The more I think about it, there more I realise that The Man With The Iron Fists had a terrible plot and acting. It also had some truly fantastic fight scenes played over a dozen acts of Kung-Fu carnage and a pre-Drax Batista going crazy. So yeah, it was actually kinda damn good fun and a wonderful homage to classic Shaw Brothers films of the past. And it’s getting a sequel, that I totally did not see coming.
RZA returns, this time directed by Roel Reiné in a film with a script from John Jarrell and RZA himself. Not much is known about the film right now, minus the lack of Russell Crowe. Honestly, I don’t care, as I loved the original film way too much. The ever reliable Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is present for the sequel however, which is all about a man with actual literal iron fists kicking ass and taking names.
Seriously, what more could you ask for? The sequel drops in next year.
