You’ve tried some local DOTA 2 flavour, now try some international flavour! The DOTA 2 International kicks off once again this year, which will see a million dollars in cash up for grabs. Here’s how it’ll all go down.
Starting on August 7, teams from around the world will descend on Seattle in the US of A to take part in the tournament. Returning champions Invictus Gaming already have a ticket to the championship, while twelve more teams will also be announced.
In addition to those teams, winners from the East and West qualifiers will also make their way up to Seattle for some sleepless action, resulting in a grand total of 15 teams. Which is an odd number, and not exactly conducive to a the brackets of the tournament?
So how will that issue be resolved? Well, it won’t be in a kumite match, but it will be through a wild card event that determines the final spots and runner-up matches of that qualifier.
Here’s the full list of teams that have made it to the event so far:
The West qualifier will be held from May 13-19, while the East Qualifier takes place from May 20-26. The final two team announcements will be made tomorrow at 9AM, PDT.

Looking forward to this. Would think IG, NAVI and Digintas should be teams to watch.

I think Navi have been on a bit of a bootcamp lately. You can never write off Dendi to try and carry a team. Seen some crazy stuff that that kid can do!
