Warner Bros held their panel at Comic-Con about an hour ago, and holy exploding fanboy heads, Batman, it delivered! The studio opened affairs with a video that showed off scenes from various DC Comics before revealing the previously seen titles in their upcoming DC Comics movie universe lineup. The big difference this time? The Green Lantern movie scheduled for 2020 is now officially titled Green Lantern Corps.
Yes, it would appear that the recent rumours are true and the next movie will indeed focus on more than one Green Lantern. There were no further details given though, so we still have no idea if Chris Pine is actually up for the role of Hal Jordan, or exactly what it was that Tyrese Gibson was hinting at, but this still sounds pretty exciting. The rest of the lineup, in case you were wondering, is still Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, Justice League – Parts 1 & 2, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg.
And now, if you’ve actually managed to read all the words up until this point, then I have to congratulate you: You clearly have the will power of a Kryptonian sun god. If our roles were reversed, I would have scrolled past all this jibber jabber and headed straight for the money shot: The utterly incredible brand new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. That’s right, the trailer is so damn good that I couldn’t even bring myself to make fun of the film’s silly title like we normally do. But enough from me. Scroll down, click play and prepare to have your face melted off with awesomeness.
Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Hfgghtthv aswwe asd lllllllll12123;asda ssshhhsssoiirrry… ssssoorry, it’s just taking me a while to regain proper cognitive functions after my brain was imploded by just how gobsmackingly good that trailer looks. Phwoar! I clearly cannot think clearly right now, so I’m rather going to leave the in-depth trailer analysis for Darryn on Monday morning, and instead go watch that damn trailer again!
