Ah Hollywood, it seems like everyone who acts there now wants to be a director. This week, it’s Angelina Jolie who’ll be sitting in that chair, with her upcoming slice of inspiration, Unbreakable. Set during World War 2, the film stars Jack O’ Connel as the real life Louis Zamperini, an Olympian who enlisted during the war and survived 47 days of being lost at sea.
Only to be caught by the Japanese army and sent to a POW camp where one camp commandant had it out for him. Now that is swak bru.
Academy Award® winner Angelina Jolie directs and produces Unbroken, an epic drama that follows the incredible life of Olympian and war hero Louis “Louie” Zamperini (Jack O’Connell) who, along with two other crewmen, survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII—only to be caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp. Adapted from Laura Hillenbrand’s (“Seabiscuit: An American Legend”) enormously popular book, Unbroken brings to the big screen Zamperini’s unbelievable and inspiring true story about the resilient power of the human spirit.
Unbreakable also stars Domhnall Gleeson, Finn Wittrock, Alex Russell, Carla Thexton, and Garrett Hedlund. It’ll be making you cry inspiration tears at Christmas this year.
