With the governator out of office, Arnie has been hitting the movies hard again as of late. He’s got a full line-up of flicks, a new Conan movie on the horizon and he’ll be busting out of jail with Sly Stallone soon.
But his comeback hasn’t exactly had him in a leading role yet. He’ll be hogging the spotlight though, in the upcoming english language debut film from South Korean director Kim “I saw the Devil” Jee-woon, in The Last Stand.
Starring as an outcast LA cop who moved from the high streets of Tinsel Town to a far more quiet position as a small town sheriff, Arnie is the only man who can put a stop to the getaway shenanigans of a cartel boss who is hellbent on crossing the border in the fastest and flashiest way possible.
The new trailer gives that setup some more exposition, as we see that the story is light, and the action is heavy. And I’m kinda amped for it. Looks like a decent brain-killer popcorn flick so far, and I’m hoping that that sword that Luis Guzman picks up comes with a payoff.
The Last Stand is out next year January.
