Hey, Macarena! It's the red band trailer for DIRTY GRANDPA!

2 min read

For a long time there Robert De Niro’s career appeared to be in nothing more than “pay the bills” mode (just look at his filmography between 2011 and 2013 and try not to cringe). And while he might still go full Bruce Willis every now and then, he’s lately been showing some of the spark that once made him one of the most revered actors in Hollywood.

Just which Robert De Niro is going to show up for Bad Grandpa – in which he plays the unruly grandfather to Zac Efron’s uptight character – is still not clear to me, but at least he appears to be having a blast in this new Red Band trailer for the upcoming R-rated comedy. Then again, it’s pretty hard to not get a little jolly when Audrey Plaza wants you to party some babies into her. Yes, you read that correctly.

Check out the slightly NSFW trailer below.

Jason Kelly (Zac Efron) is one week away from marrying his boss’s uber-controlling daughter, putting him on the fast track for a partnership at the law firm. However, when the straight-laced Jason is tricked into driving his foul-mouthed grandfather, Dick (Robert De Niro), to Daytona for spring break, his pending nuptials are suddenly in jeopardy. Between riotous frat parties, bar fights, and an epic night of karaoke, Dick is on a quest to live his life to the fullest and bring Jason along for the ride. Ultimately, on the wildest journey of their lives, “dirty” Grandpa and his uptight grandson discover they can learn from one another and form the bond they never had.

Dirty Grandpa was directed by Dan Mazer (Borat, Bruno, Ali G) and also stars Aubrey Plaza, Zoey Deutch, Julianne Hough, Jason Mantzoukas, Danny Glover, Adam Pally, and Dermot Mulroney. It is scheduled for release on January 22, 2016.
