Thanks to a recent slate of blockbuster films “COUGH BATMAN COUGH”, Legendary Pictures is in a good position right now to start financing other films. And their next film project that they may be bankrolling might right over…there!

DAN DAN DAN DAN DA DA DA DA DAAAAAAAAAA!

According to Variety, Legendary has brokered a new deal with Universal Pictures that will see them help finance the upcoming Gary Shore directed Dracula film that will star Luke Evans and Dominic Cooper. But while they get underway with making it rain Washingtons for that film, there’s also interest from Legendary in helping out with director Colin Treverrow’s Jurassic Park IV, once they’ve had a final look at the film script and other elements. But Legendary is going to need to put up quite a bit of cash to get this partnership going. As in $275 million to get into bed with Universal. Every year. Something which Steven Spielberg is partly to blame for:

Although Steven Spielberg won’t be directing the next “Jurassic Park” movie, his hefty gross participation in the VFX franchise will take a significant bite out of the pic’s profits.

Still, this could be the beginning of a very lucrative relationship between the two. Legendary is most likely going to rake in the royalties from films such as Godzilla, 300: Rise of an Empire and others as part of their almost-finished deal with Warner Bros, and they’ve got more work in the pipeline.

And I like the Legendary brand. Their films have a certain signature style to them, that makes ideas more grounded and gritty. And I’d like to see that applied to Jurassic Park IV.

*If you’re wondering why I haven’t made nay How I met your mother jokes with that headline, it’s because I’d rather eat my own face than do that.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
