Back in the 90’s, there was one family of brothers that held the monopoly on dropping women’s panties with a single glance: The Baldwins. But since they’ve now all become fat/crazy/unemployed, that title has been passed onto the Hemsworths.
Older brother Chris has already been smiting female libido’s as Thor for a while now, while younger sibling Liam is also starting to make a name for himself as a ladykiller with roles in The Hunger Games and The Expendables 2.
And now he’s taken his first major step on the way to total female domination, with the obligatory weepy chick flick.
“Love and Honor” is the passionate story of a young soldier who helps his best friend re-capture the heart of his girlfriend on a clandestine trip home from the warfront in Vietnam during a time of protest and social revolution, and in the process finds true love for the first time.
Firstly, no this is actually not a prequel story for his character in Expendables 2. Secondly, what I’ve also learned from this trailer is that you never stand a chance of finding true love unless you have bulging pectorals and a six pack covered in engine grease.
It’s being directed by Danny Mooney, whose biggest claim to fame thus far was acting as “Smashley’s fiance'” in the Drew Barrymore/Ellen Page roller-derby film, Whip It, so I’m not expecting much more from this, but this has just that right type of Nicholas Sparksy Notebook feeling to it, that’s probably going to mean that I’ll end being dragged to see this.
