It’s safe to say that the world isn’t exactly asking for more Scary Movie, despite the fact that alcoholic train wrecks such as Charlie Sheen and Lindsey Lohan have signed on to appear.
What the world does want more of though, is Terry Crews and his infectious enthusiastic madness, no doubt caused by the fact that the man happens to be a real-life He-Man action figure. And he’ll be lending some of that lunacy to the upcoming fifth Scary Movie, as he has just been cast in the film.
Talking to Blackfilm about his upcoming work slate, Crews mentioned that he was in the film, but didn’t drop any details about his character. “That’s being directed by my man Malcolm Lee, who I love from The Best Man,” Crews said.
It most likely won’t be more than a cameo role, but I’d like to imagine Crews having some more screen time, and dropping elbows on the common myth of certain demographics always being the first person to die in a horror film.
Crews will also be working on Aztec Warrior soon, but for the immediate cinematic future, you can catch him raising all kinds of hell in the action flick retrogasm that is The Expendables 2, out soon.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go convince some Hollywood executives to greenlight a He-Man reboot that would star him, because that smells like genius to me.
