Put the pedal to the metal in these first official pics for RUSH

We’re not talking about that other film that stars Joseph Gordon Levitt and a sweaty pair of tight cycling pants, delivering packages and evading gangsters with his BMX bandit skills.

Nope, we’re talking about that other film, which has far more horses under the hood, as director Ron Howard chronicles the golden age of Formula 1 racing, with some fancy new behind the scenes pictures to boot!

The epic action-thriller stars Chris Hemsworth (“The Avengers”) as the charismatic Englishman James Hunt and Daniel Bruhl (“Inglourious Basterds”) as the disciplined Austrian perfectionist Niki Lauda, whose clashes on the Grand Prix racetrack epitomized the contrast between these two extraordinary characters, a distinction reflected in their private lives.

Set against the sexy, glamorous and spectacular golden age of Formula 1 racing, “Rush” portrays the exhilarating true story of two of the greatest rivals the world has ever witnessed – handsome English playboy James Hunt (Hemsworth) and his methodical, brilliant opponent, Niki Lauda (Bruhl).

Following their personal lives on and off the track, Rush follows the two drivers as they push themselves to the breaking point of physical and psychological endurance, where there is no shortcut to victory and no margin for error. If you make one mistake, you die.

Written by Peter Morgan, Rush is shaping up to be a fast-paced and sexy look at motorsport racing, as the two polar opposites clash on (and probably off) the track.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
