It’s Friday, and let’s be honest here, a bunch of us are going to get hammered after a first week back at work. And that’s something that quite a few of us have been doing ever since we turned 18. Well except for me, because I have the drinking constitution of an old shoe.
In America however, you’ve got to wait a couple years longer before you’re allowed to get hammered, which is where 21 and over comes in. Essentially the Hangover with younger characters, expect a film which has all the usual drunken shenanigans of birthday alcohol.
Skylar Astin (“Pitch Perfect”), Miles Teller (“Footloose”) and Justin Chon (“Twilight”) star in “21 and Over,” a hilarious movie that showcases a rite of passage gone horribly wrong. Straight-A college student Jeff Chang has always done what’s expected of him. But when his two best friends Casey and Miller surprise him with a visit for his 21st birthday, he decides to do the unexpected for a change, even though his critical medical school interview is early the next morning. What was supposed to be one beer becomes one night of chaos, over indulgence and utter debauchery in this outrageous comedy.
Looks like a few laughs, with a decent cast attached to it. 21 and Over stars Miles Teller, Justin Chon, Skylar Astin, Sarah Wright, François Chau, Jonathan Keltz, Daniel Booko and Dustin Ybarra, with Jon Lucas and Scott Moore directing. It’s out in March.

I’m always sceptical when a film has to refer to itself as “hilarious”.

Hahahahaha. Yanks. Wait till you’re 21. That’s three years of drinking that are being potentially wasted
