Just one day after we got our first, very brief glimpse at director Ron Howard and Tom Hanks’ latest Dan Brown adaptation, the first full trailer for Inferno has been released. And I’ll be damned if it doesn’t look… well, not exactly hot like its namesake, but of a sufficiently warm temperature to actually get me looking forward to seeing this.

I’m always willing to watch just about anything with Hanks in it, and Felicity Jones and Ben Foster have never really disappointed me as actors. So if Howard and screenwriter David Koepp can capture that edge-of-your-seat page-turning essence of Brown’s writing, this could make for a reasonably entertaining thriller – the type of diversion you have zero problem with as the Sunday night movie premiere on M-Net.

Check it out below.

Inferno finds famous Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself. When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories. Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.

Da Vinci Code was a pretty lackluster film, but made a killing at the box office, pulling in $758 million off a ___ budget. Angels & Demons was actually a slightly better film, but it saw its revenue drop to about $486 million, even though it cost $25 million more to make. Based on that track record, Inferno is probably going to be an incredible piece of filmmaking that will barely break even at the box office. Or something like that.

Inferno is scheduled for release on October 28, 2016.
