This trailer for Katheryn Bigelows' ZERO DARK THIRTY is bad news. For that other Bin Laden movie, that is

So earlier in the week we brought you the trailer to the other “hunt for Bin Laden” movie, Codename: Geronimo, a low budget affair populated by D-listers, William Fichtner (cashing that cheque, baby) and that creepy guy from Prison Break, Coffee Creamer or something.

But it’s time to play with the big boys now, so here’s the first trailer to Katheryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty.

“Zero Dark Thirty” focuses on the black ops mission to capture or kill Osama bin Laden, which culminated in his death during a high-stakes raid on his compound in Pakistan.

So it turns out that being accused of having sensitive classified documents leaked to you by the government administration just so that you can make your movie feel more authentic is totally worth it. Go espionage!

This is shaping up great so far, with a stellar cast that looks like they’re going to deliver the goods. Mark Strong in particular seems be eyeballing the scenery with a ravenous glint in his eye. And since I’m not a recent bandwagon jumper when it comes to Katheryn Bigelow, having been a fan of hers ever since she threw Keanu Reeves out of a plane with no parachute so that he could have a heart to heart with a terminal velocity Patrick Swayze, I have complete faith in her directing abilities and trusts that despite there being an actual waving flag present in this trailer, that she’ll keep the flag waving to a minimum.
