It’s been four months since audiences worldwide got a chance to not go see the GI Joe sequel. Retaliation was delayed at the final hour, being moved back nine months so that director John Chu could shoot some extra Channing Tatum in order to take advantage of his sudden popularity, as well as some other new footage, which would then be fed into the post 3D conversion machine.
And since then, we’ve seen very, very little of that new Yo Joe stuff. Until this new trailer appeared. Prepare to kung fu grip your mouse and click away.
Yep, it’s the same opening, and plenty of the same footage from previous trailers, but it does have plenty of new content in it to justify the bandwidth, while also shedding new light on the ultimate endgame that Cobra Commander is playing.
But more importantly, it looks like all the action scenes that were originally promised, have survived the cut, including the one where Snake Eyes plays a game of Ninja Cliffhanger.
G.I. Joe Retaliation is finally out next year March 29, and stars Dwayne Johnson, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, Adrianne Palicki, D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, RZA, Joseph Mazzello, Elodie Yung, and Walton Goggins. Check out some new footage below
