GearsOfWarRaam

Here’s an interesting rumour coming out of the most recent Official Xbox Magazine and reported on by CVG, while it may have no backing at all it does appear to be a reasonable rumour that I can see happening.

The rumour is that the developers of Bulletstorm, People Can Fly, have been tasked with creating the prequel to Gears of War on behalf of Epic Games.

This wouldn’t be the first time PCF has done Gears work either after having been previously tasked with creating the PC version of Gears of War 1 back in 2007.

People Can Fly is now a fully owned subsidiary of Epic games and as such Epic would still have total control of the Gears universe while being freed up to create another new IP or a good follow on for Unreal Tournamnet… a game I’ve been oddly craving for the past few weeks.

However back to the point, thankfully you don’t need to wait until PCF has finished development before getting your hands on a prequel to Gears of War with Epic’s latest DLC, RAAM’s Shadow, coming in early December that will send you back to Sera post emergence day.

Rumours are that we are even going to get to play as the ultimate bad ass himself, RAAM.

Epic were never able to create a boss anywhere near as scary and efficient as RAAM in the series so being able to base all the prequels around him would definitely be appealing.
