Oh boy. It appears that the local release of Batman: Arkham Origins has been pushed back by a week. According to an e-mail from retailer Takealot, there’s a national delay on the game, and it’ll now be released locally on November 1.

The email simple reads:

“Our supplier informed us that there is a national street date move to 1st November.
Sorry about the delay.
Kind Regards

We’ve tried contacting the local distributor for Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment to find out if the delay is confirmed, if it affects all editions and versions, and if true, why it’s been delayed.

We’ll let you know as soon as we can.

We spoke to Ster-Kinekor – and the delay only affects the PC, Wii U and 3DS (Blackgate) versions of the game. PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers will still get the game on time.

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
