DICE’s latest Battlefield title, Bad Company 2 is officially out now and ready to get into the action.

Many shooter-loving gamers looking for something other than Modern Warfare 2 can now pick it up in stores around the country and get ready to drive tanks, fly helicopters and get up to all sorts of skullduggery.

Metacritic currently has the game at a very respectable average of 89/100. While these reviews cover both the single and multiplayer, it is the latter that you are going to be paying the most attention to.

The first game’s single player campaign was nothing special, and it seems that the sequel is roughly the same story, but the multiplayer is where it’s at. I spent a good load of hours playing the beta and I really just couldn’t get enough of it.

Keep a look out for our own review in the next few days.
