Battlefront and Titanfall to fill Medal of Honor's void

At the beginning of this year, EA confirmed that they were taking Medal of Honor ‘out of rotation’. Previously, MoH was used to fill the void in between launches of Battlefield. Now, EA has found its games to fill that gap.

Speaking to CVG, EA’s Frank Gibeau explained:

“The shooter rotation we think about now is Battlefield, Titanfall and Battlefront, and so we like those three brands going forward,” he said. “We’re working out how we’re going to line that up because that’s what you’ll see from us. With regards to Medal of Honor, you try things in entertainment and if they don’t work you try something else. From our perspective, Battlefield 3 and Battlefield Premium continues to grow.”

Battlefield 4 is coming at the end of this year and Titanfall is set to release in 2014. With Star Wars: Battlefront teased for 2015, EA does seem to have its ducks in a row. Could these games be the Call of Duty killers that EA has been looking for? It certainly sounds that way from what was seen at Gamescom, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
