Modern gaming pro: Realising that having an online connection means that you’ll never ever have to step foot outside into a world that is populated with people and risk exposing your flesh to the burning fury of the flaming star that our world orbits. Modern gaming con: Realising that your internet is kind of slow and needs the tears of Industrial-era orphans to help lubricate the gears and knobs which will allow you to download a game and accidentally stumble into a Rule 34 forum.

If you’re looking forward to Borderlands 3, chances are that you’re also dreading the download which will show zero mercy to your Millennial need to want stuff right now. The game looks gorgeous, the world inside it is probably going to be massive and the size of said game is going to match up with the lofty expectations that fans have for this long in development sequel.

Good news though! If you’ve got a pre-order in for Borderlands 3, then you’ll be able to start playing right away thanks to some pre-loading features being available. PC players will be able to do so through the Epic Games Store after wondering for weeks if said function would ever be available, while console players can do the same thanks to the precedence set by Xbox and PlayStation on previous games.

The exact times for pre-loads on September 11 aren’t known, but the global launch times are! Borderlands 3 will roll out at these Midnight times according to the big hand which is chasing the smaller hand on this weird wrist strap I have that is decorated with a bunch of Vs, Xs and Is:

Having a subscription to both Xbox Game Pass and now Uplay+, and the fact that so many good games were recently cheap, I have got more than enough games to see me through for years, so I have no idea where I am going to find the time for Borderlands 3, but trust me, I will!!!!
