There are 12 brand new games being shown off at tomorrow’s The Game Awards. For a while now, rumours have circulated that one of the new titles being shown off at the VGA’s reborn would be Bethesda’s next Fallout game. I certainly hope you don’t have your hopes up – because that’s just not happening.
While higher-ups at Bethesda have confirmed they’ll be attending the event, they’ve also said that fans shouldn’t get excited for any particular reveals. They’ll be there to support the folks from Machinegames, who’re up for an award for their excellent Wolfenstein: The New Order.
PSA — We’re not showing anything at the Game Awards. We’ll be there to support @MachineGames.

Rumours of a new Fallout have been increasingly prevalent, but just about every bit of news, trademark or filing has turned out to be a hoax. Say what you will about Bethesda’s buggy, lifeless and shallow open world RPGs, but I can’t wait to explore vaults in the wasteland, accompanied by what’s bound to be an excellent, throwback soundtrack. It really is time for Vault boy to make a return.
The Game Awards 2014 will be streamed live on December 5 from the Axis Theatre in Las Vegas. It starts at 9pm EST/6pm PST – which is four in the morning here on Saturday. will you be getting up early to watch ‘em, or will you – like me – catch everything at a much more reasonable hour?
