Heavy Rain

The news that Heavy Rain has sold over 1.5 million units isn’t that surprising really as the game is that original and good. However what is surprising is that it has smashed Sony’s sales expectations and is still going.

Quantic Dreams founder, David Cage, has also been blown away as he originally predicted that Heavy Rain would sell 1.5 million in total by the end of it’s lifespan however it has reached this figure far sooner than expected and even more amazingly is still selling at full retail in most stores.

Which means that Mr Cage is going to have an awesome Christmas this year.

With sales of Heavy Rain expected to boom once again when the Move is released I don’t think it is to far a stretch to expect to see 2.5  – 3 million in lifetime sales when all is said and done.

Which is great news for us all as it means we can expect a sequel and possibly some new IP?
