Let the blood flow in Surgeon Simulator 2013

YOU'RE IN GOOD HANDS!

If there’s one genre in the game industry that is clearly not being filled, it’s surgery games. Normally, Trauma Center on the DS would allow you to cut a swathe of pentagrams into a patient to allow the healing power of Satan to do its magic, but that’s a dead franchise. And then you get Surgeon Simulator 2013.

Coming out of the insane Game Jam scene from January this year, Surgeon Simulator 2013 has players inhabiting the shakey hands of Nigel Burke, the last person that you’d want to see holding a scalpel. Based on the prototype game, Surgeon Simulator 2013 expands on that concept in order to wreak more unnecessary harm on perfectly healthy people.

So much for the hippopotamus oath.

It’s out on Steam right now for a cool $6.99 on special, so grab it while you can and prepare to be clumsier than an intern in fresh scrubs.

i was also confused when I saw it yesterday. Then I felt the need to do what no ER surgeon could dream of. A drunken heart transplant. “Jenkins, bring me the whiskey!”

Once I’d mastered the game I was ready to help out in my local hospital theatre, amazingly they never stopped peeps from helping as long as you dressed the part and always did as the boss doctor told. Even got some souvenirs….

    Aah the good ole days.
