Metal Gear Solid Touch

I posted a while back about the possibility of the next Metal Gear Solid gaming coming to the Xbox 360 due to that teaser image released with the green power button on it.

However if the latest Famitsu is to be believed then it looks like Konami are set to announce that Metal Gear Solid Touch is on it’s way to the iPhone and certain iPods utilising a multi touch screen interface.

Konami has now confirmed this but this rumour has been even stronger than the MGS5 on 360 rumour so it wasn’t really a surprise and seeing that the iPhone isn’t a console it would still leave the MGS series as a PlayStation console exclusive title.

I would be interested in seeing how the actual gameplay will work though as I just don’t see it right now.

I guess only time will tell.

well, the good news out of this (if it’s true) is that it is no longer a Sony exclusive 😛

It’s only a matter of time before this series hits the X-Box and Konami start making some real money.

The Metal Gear franchise never really been a Sony exclusive.
It’s only the last two numbered games that haven’t appeared on other platforms.

    Metal Gear – MSX2, NES – 1987

    Metal Gear 2 – MSX2, 1990

Metal Gear Solid – Playstation 1 – 1998, subsequently released on PC as Metal Gear Solid : Integral in 2000, with an enhanced version released for the Gamecube in 2004 entitled “Metal Gear solid : The Twin Snakes”

    Metal Gear Solid 2 – Playstation 2 – 2001, with an expanded
version (Metal Gear Solid 2 : Substance)released on the original Xbox, as well as PC.
