Many many years ago, around 2010, we were at E3 and were given a sneak preview of an upcoming title that looked pretty awesome. That title was Spec Ops: The Line and at the time I was very hopeful that it was going to be a great game.
Unfortunately it then disappeared entirely from our radar and from any communications we were getting from the publishers but now it’s back and while we don’t know much about it yet I for one am glad it’s returned.
There is a new trailer that shows nothing much but is still really cool.
Unfortunately we weren’t able to make it to the preview event but Eurogamer has written up a nice round up of the title and the idea of a FPS set in the worlds most amazing city while its being destroyed by a natural disaster does have a certain appeal to it.
I’m naturally sceptical of any title that suffers massive delays but at the same time I’m excited to see how far this title could have come.
