The good, the bad and the ugly of the last week (27 March 2015)

Paragon on the streets

I don’t know where March went, but I suppose we must keep marching on. Next week is April, and Easter, and please can we just stop already? It was a bit of a topsy turvy week, but Geoff made me ridiculously happy simply by linking this picture. For all the real news of the week that you might have missed, follow me.

Best Story

I don’t want to get my hopes up, but it will always make me happy to see some news about Mass Effect 4. Plus, Bloodborne’s long loading times will soon be a thing of the past and Evolve’s most overpowered monster is finally getting rebalanced. Best of all, Xbox has learned to give us better games this coming month.

Worst Story

Thankfully, there wasn’t too much bad news this week. Geoff trolled us all about Halo coming to PC thanks to a Russian free-to-play game. Sadly, though, Cadence failed at Kickstarter. Now they are planning to survive on over-priced cheap noodles, or something. Oh, and EA is up to their usual tricks, adding extra DRM to Battlefield.

Best ION

What is going on? Homegrown Hotties who are actual hotties? What next, Eskom keeping the lights on? Also, I was very tempted to use my tomato soup and grilled cheese header image due to it being so tasty and temperature hot, but I think you all might kill me.

Most Comments

Geoff nabs this one this week seeing as everyone had something to say about EA’s Battlefield DRM. It’s just too easy.

Least Comments

It appears that people aren’t too concerned with the size of Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. Sorry Darryn, at least people still talk about your other articles… right?

Batman of the Week

Let's get dangerous

His milkshake brings all the boys to the yard! No, wait, something is wrong here. Oh well, Darryn has another cracker of a week and we’re all really proud of him. Well done, D!

Header of the Week

Mortal Kombat X arcade

Our Darryn is incredibly special. Sometimes he does things we don’t understand. Often, in fact. Like when he decided to add surprised cats to his header images for no reason. Still, it’s part of why we love him and it wins him header of the week.

Comment of the Week

Hammersteyn gets it this week for his Cricket-themed comment about The Witcher 3:

Can I rename Geralt to Duckworth Lewis, people always seems to get fucked when that name is mentioned

Bonus Content

Stop expecting a bonus – it’s a reward for being awesome. Then again, we have an awesome community, so you’ve earned it. Here is a video that continues to make me laugh, as well as one from our favourite man to tease that might make you think twice.
