This video, spotted by Kotaku, is probably the most Impressive thing you’ll see all day. A Japanese fellow has set up a glass harp – made from all manner of variably filled wine glasses – and then magically proceeded to play the Super Mario Bros tune on it. It’s ridiculously impressive – though there are a few timing issues. I’ll let it slide though, because it’s played on a  bunch of freaking wineglasses!

I don’t want to know how much time was spent not only learning to do this – but also filling up each glass with the right amount of liquid to hit the right note, and then accounting for natural phenomena like evaporation.

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
