The Unseen are the final faction in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

Paradox Interactive always told us that the fifth and final faction in Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 would be unseen. They weren’t joking, as that’s really  the name of the last gang on the list of neck-biters who roam the streets at night. If they’re allowed to that is. Amidst the beautiful tribes of nightwalkers and immortals, there exist the Nosferatu of the Unseen.

If being bitten by a vampire was a lottery, then these chaps would have picked the numbers that resulted in them French-kissing a belt sander, as they’ve got a face that only a mother could love provided that her eyes had been gouged out in a freak pencil factory accident. In order to maintain the secrecy of the Masquerade and the hidden nature of vampire society, the Unseen are forced to live underground in the sewers, making their home amongst filth, faeces and unsold DVDs of Freddy Got Fingered.

Faced with a life underground, ostracisation by the prettier vampires and mass homelessness, the Unseen quickly adapted to their environment and have become the eyes and ears of the world around them. Secrets are their currency, with many members working for the Council of Three as hackers and journalists. No dammit for the last time I am not a Nosferatu I was born this ugly but at least I can go out in sunlight…for around ten minutes before my skin starts to sizzle.

Anyway, here’s a breakdown on the other four clans that’ll be jockeying for power in the game:

Unseen
  • Pioneers – An ancient group who founded Vampire society in Seattle, and who now work to preserve their history while dreaming of having power once again
  • Newcomers – Scholars, dreamers, runaways and more who trace their origins back to a European branch of Tremere
  • Camarilla – The political powerhouses of Vampire society, influential leaders and figures who strive to maintain the secrecy of the Masquerade
  • Baron – Humans, ghouls, and younger vampires who form the criminal underworld of Vampire society, engaging in all manner of dirty work

Vampire Bloodlines 2 This Title Is Too Damn Long will be out in March 2020 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Just in time for it to tango with DOOM Eternal, which is now also releasing in that month. FIGHT! FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!
