GameStop’s CEO, Dan DeMatteo, has been chatting to CNBC about the year ahead and has hinted at some big things to come for the Nintendo Wii.
First up lets get the other things out of the way, he thinks the PS3 has to cut the price and that the PS2 price cut was a waste of time. He also commends Microsoft for their aggressive pricing so far in this generation.
But back to the Wii, Dan feels that it’s about time for Nintendo to drop the price of their flagship console as the sales are starting to drop and they now have a huge profit margin to eat into.
However we have been hoping for a PS3 and Wii price drop for some time now and I wouldn’t hold my breath.
In better news though Dan has also announced that Nintendo have advised GameStop to keep some shelves open for them for a major title later this year which obviously instantly brings up the question… where is Zelda?
