I don’t hold the Army of Two franchise in particularly high regard – but I’m perhaps being a little harsh on the co-op dudebro shooter. It’s really the perfect sort of “leave your brain at the door” blockbuster entertainment, good for a couple of hours of just blowing stuff up. Judging by this latest blockbuster trailer for the next game in the series; The Devil’s Cartel, blowing stuff up is exactly what you’ll be doing. A lot.
And it looks really good. My biggest worry about Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is its release date; Coming on March 28, it’s going up against Bioshock Infinite, Gears of War: Judgment and even God of War – games that fill many of the same checkboxes, but probably better.
Are you getting Army of Two?

Got to try out Dead Space 3 this weekend with Rincethis. So I think Army of Two has been drowned out. Tomb Raider, Bioshock 3, Metal Gear, Gears of War, Sir Hammerlock and MASS EFFECT 3 BABY. Just no time.

I love these games, so much fun sitting on the couch with a mate blowing shit up and tuning each other. Its not gonna win any awards or or change the genre but its fun playing it and isn’t that what games are about?

As much as I’ve enjoyed the previous one, for the sake of my marriage, I’ll have to pass…
