I know, we all hate exclusives. They ruin things for the rest of us. Exclusive DLCs or rewards make us hurt enough, but some games are only coming to certain platforms. Will you just suffer, or will you whip out your wallet if the game is right?
I was very late to adopt certain platforms last generation, but this time around I was quick to pick up a PS4. I even also have a Wii U. But some of the Xbox One exclusives might make me need one of those, too. Geez, gaming is far too expensive. I know some of you had such a good time with Splatoon at rAge, but was it enough to warrant buying the Wii U? Once you have one, there are a ton of awesome games to play, but which one would be the catalyst to make you buy? Here are some of the upcoming (in the next year or so) exclusives per console:
- The Order 1886
- Uncharted 4
- Until Dawn
- Sunset Overdrive
- Halo The Master Chief Collection
- Quantum Break
- Rise of the Tomb Raider (timed)
- Super Smash Bros
- Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
- Yoshi’s Wooly World
Of course, there are other factors at play – every time a cross platform game comes out it seems that it will look better on PS4, and most of the time those games won’t even be coming to Wii U. Then, there is always the PC option which can play all the cross platform games best, but still misses out on most exclusives.
What will make you dish out for a console? Is it all about exclusives, or do you care about things like PS+/Xbox Live or maybe even what the UI is like or how the controller feels?
