The culmination of the Do Gaming League’s (DGL) calendar is upon us. During rAge, the Do Gaming Championships (DGC) will take place, and you can be a part of the experience. In fact, you can win some Dota 2 spectating tickets and get awesome branded items!
Last week, Darryn told you about all the great prizes up for grabs from the DGL. But not all of us are pro enough to actually compete and stand a change of winning anything. However, just as we can’t all play rugby but everyone can watch and have opinions, we can all spectate. In fact, if you spectate Dota 2 in your Dota TV client, you can even win some cool items branded from the event.
Now, Valve has started charging money to spectate matches through Dota TV. However, we are giving away twenty tickets! How does this work? Just leave a comment below (locals only!), and hope that Random.org likes you. Winners will be announced at the end of the week. But we can’t all be winners, either. Also, there are plenty of other matches in the DGC. So, how can you watch? Well, for those of you at home, you can tune in to the DGL twitch channel.
However, for those of you who will actually be at rAge, you can also keep up with the action. Those taking part in the NAG LAN will have two spectating options: there will be a big screen projector upstairs in the LAN area for players to check out what’s going on; additionally, NAG LAN ticket holders will be allowed in the VIP area, specifically the spectator area downstairs. For those without a NAG LAN ticket, you will need to get a Spectator Pass.
The DGL will be using an online booking form to give out Spectator Passes – you will need to book for a day and time, and relinquish your ticket to another prospective spectator when you leave (if you are not returning). At the time of writing, I do not have the link for the online form – I will keep you updated as soon as I have more details. For more details on spectating in person, be sure to read the official post from the DGL.
So, leave your comment below to win a DGC Dota 2 ticket and join in the experience! Are you excited for the DGC – is this the highlight of the South African eSports scene for you?
