Console console on my shelf wall, which version of Watch Dogs has the prettiest visuals of them all? Well if you happen to sport a Sony tattoo or two, then you might be happy to hear that the PlayStation 4 will be running the prettier version of the upcoming Ubisoft hack ‘em up.
According to the PlayStation website, their PS4 version of the game will sport a full 1080p resolution, and keep it pumping at 60 frames per second.
The world of Watch Dogs comes alive on PS4 with the best graphics on any console and exclusive missions found only on PlayStation. Hack everything as you make your way through Chicago’s underground as you experience Watch_Dogs in a way that only PS4 can provide, at 60 Frames Per Second in 1080p.
Meanwhile, outside of the Hyperbole chamber, Ubisoft has yet to give a firm answer on the matter, as they had previously indicated that the game would run at 30 fps on both new-gen consoles.
Still, even if you’re not a regular subscriber to Resolution-Gate, the PS4 version of Watch Dogs has something else in its favour, namely four extra timed exclusive missions and a few other in-game goodies.
Expect the matter to finally be laid to rest when the game comes out on May 27. And when a PC gamer with too much cash to burn mods the game up on their bleeding edge PC.

Can someone explain to me whether 30fps vs 60fps is REALLY, and I mean really, such a big deal. In other words playing it by yourself without a point of reference is unlikely to make you notice/care. I assume doing a side by side comparison it is then noticeable? But is it that big a deal.
Seems to be mountains and molehills issue.

There is a difference.. I can see a difference between 60 and 100+ fps as well. 30fps doesn’t mean it’s bad or unplayable though.

I played certain games on 120fps. And I can honostly say it’s a hell of a lot smoother. And everything just looks better! But that’s my opinion.

Bet you a Sony VIAO or whatever its called will run it better than a Sony PS4.
Also 60FPS … lol

So I guess this means they haven’t discovered that hidden GPU tucked away behind the optical drive on the X1 yet. Eish.. them lazy developers.. LAZY LAZY LAZY!

It’s currently ‘cool’ to collectively bash on the PC, because….reasons (which I only assume have to do with jealousy over the fact that not everyone can afford to put together a cutting edge PC). Jealousy, it’s a stinky cologne.
Wonder which group the media will target next. Clearly they’ve had to goosestep on back from the Sony hate, now that Sony’s in the lead and Microsoft’s playing catchup, so it’s all ‘hey console owners, let’s all play nice’.

Runs best on PC. Everyone knows this. Not mocking consoles, but a high end PC should make this game look amazing. All we can pray for is that it’s not a shitty port. (NFS Rivals anyone? BLEH!)

As somebody who has returned from duty on the console front, and bankrupted a small Eastern European country in the process of rehoming myself in the US of PC, this is my biggest fear…shitty ports from console games.

I have no doubt that the X1 (of which I am a happy owner) will run it the weakest compared to PS4 and a high end PC, but as long as it runs well and makes me happy, which I know it will, I am happy. I love my X1, despite hardware differences. It still plays new games…which makes me happy. Plus its an upgrade over 360 anyway. Cant wait for watch dogs!

Sony fans will be extra butthurt when it gets exposed that the ONE and ONLY time it will ever hit 60fps is when they accidentally move their thumbstick in the wrong direction so all you see is the sky in watch dogs LMAO.

Yeah, absolutely no reason or precedent to assume that a game on the PS4 will perform better than the One…other than an informed analysis of performance, or someone even semi-literate in hardware.

“Expect the matter to finally be laid to rest when the game comes out on May 27. And when a PC gamer with too much cash to burn mods the game up on their bleeding edge PC.”
So is LG really that hard up for website traffic that at every possible turn, they need to post some kind of barb at the PC community? Hasn’t this gotten old to any of you yet? You’re more than adequate writers, and journalists, and there’s simply no need to continue this infantile ploy of barbing communities. Or does this fall under the ‘tongue in cheek’ cop out, we so routinely see here?
Can’t help but laugh though, we see complaints from contributors to this site, and fans of this site of how PC Gamer’s come and hi-jack threads with their performance boasts. And yet, almost 99% of it is solicited through barbs by the very same people lobbing the complaints in the first place.
People are so strange.

Don’t understand all this High End PC nonsense. Why is it assumed this game will only run optimally on the latest high end tech? 3 year old mid range PC’s will do a better job than both consoles.
